Tourist cafés serving English style breakfast don't open particularly early. Most are closed in February in any case. And the Portuguese don't do breakfast as such, coffee and a pastry at most.

If you want to be sure of getting something in the morning without having to roam the streets, then the hotel looks a good enough bet.

thanks cubsur.

Just got a email back from dreamwave this trip sounds good - Yes, we do the “Insónia – Caves & Dolphin Watching tour” all year subject to weather/sea conditions and a minimum number of participates.

The price is 35€ per person and tickets can be purchased at all hotel receptions in Albufeira.

Is there a bus service to the shopping centre at guia? if so how long would this take? im staying at paraiso hotel.

Buses from only from the main bus station, which is about 15 minutes walk or a short bus ride from the stop down the road past the 'Watches;' roundabout and opposite the Continente shopping centre. They are very irregular. Times on webpage below; go to almost the bottom of the page. Bus costs €3,20 plus €1,40 to the bus station if you decide not to walk. Bus ride to Algarve Shopping from the bus station takes 10 minutes.

A taxi would be about 7 Euros

It does indeed.

How far do you want to walk? Most places need a bus to get you there eg Salgados nature reserve, Falesia, the countryside around Messines.

I hope that helps.
